Visit Karori By Bus

There is a bus services that can take passengers to or near the airport.
Route 2 Karori-Wellington-Hataitai- Seatoun - is a regular bus service. It travels between Karori and Seatoun via the central city, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, and Miramar.

From the city towards Wellington airport, ensure that you catch the bus on its way to Seatoun. It will take you within 10 minutes’ walk of the airport; just get off on Broadway (Stop 6033) .To leave the airport, board at Hobart Street (Stop 7033). Departing from Ghuznee St or The Terrace the #18e bus (Miramar-Newtown-Kelburn-Karori) leaves hourly and takes approximately 15 minutes to the Karori town centre.

Departing from Courtenay Place, the #21 us (Courtenay Place-Kelburn-Karori (Wrights Hill)) leave every 15-30 minutes and takes approximately 25 minutes to the Karori town centre.

Visit By Uber

Coming to Karori by Uber will cost you approximately $15 from the central city and about $30 from Wellington airport.

Visit By foot

It is about a 5-6km walk from Wellington city to Karori-a lovely gentle climb up past the Botanical Gardens then a steeper climb up Karori Hill. A great walk on a nice day for those with a good level of fitness.

Karori Free Parking

All parking both on-street and off-street parking is free of charge in Karori. Be aware of any time restrictions in some areas but enjoy the numerous parking options in Marsden Village (off street parking just in behind the shops at the Marsden Village traffic lights) and down Karori Road and side streets around the town centre.
